On the other hand, it does appear that AMP documents tend to be faster than their counterparts. AMP’s promise of improved distribution cuts a lot of red tape. Suddenly publishers who have a hard time saying no to third-party scripts for their canonical pages are more willing (or at least, made to) reduce them dramatically for their AMP counterparts.
You’re a network marketer. You’d like to use the internet to help you find new customers and team members. You’ve been posting about your product and business all over Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, trying to get new customers or get SOMEONE interested in joining your team. Maybe you’ve even started messaging your friends (or random people), asking them to check out your business or try your product… but, it isn’t working. People aren’t showing as much interest as you thought they would. Your business is not growing the way you want it to, and you aren’t earning the income you can and want to earn. This business is so important to you, and you need a way to effectively find new customers and team members, online.
Obviously, this degree of specificity may be a little overkill for your buyer personas, but the better you “know” your ideal customers, the more likely they are to respond to carefully crafted messaging tailored specifically to their lives. Push yourself to create more detailed buyer personas than you ever have before. To learn more about this process, check out my detailed guide to creating buyer personas.

Just found your post in my study of sales funnels. You bring the heart to it. This is really the missing link to online success. Thank you for explaining it so easily. Am not compelled to download the free traffic course because I can imagine the quality of info it would have not to mention returning to the site to have my buffer on other interesting content. Thanks.
late Old English sala "a sale, act of selling," from a Scandinavian source such as Old Norse sala "sale," from Proto-Germanic *salo (cf. Old High German sala, Swedish salu, Danish salg), from PIE root *sal- (3) "to grasp, take." Sense of "a selling of shop goods at lower prices than usual" first appeared 1866. Sales tax attested by 1886. Sales associate by 1946. Sales representative is from 1910.
Google is not blind: it knows that other companies aren’t likely to up and adopt AMP as a universal solution to fixing the web. Although Ubl will happily tout how many non-Googlers contribute to AMP code, at the end of the day, he works at Google and is the BDFL (Benevolent Dictator For Life) on the AMP project. The new standards — many of which are already in development — seem like they would be genuinely good for the web. But just as importantly, they’re genuinely more likely to get adopted by competing companies if they’re seen as fundamental new web technologies and not just a Google project.

There are several ways to optimize images and here’s one if you have Adobe Photoshop. For your JPGs, PNGs, and other files you may have that aren’t GIFs, open them in Adobe Photoshop and simply go to File > Save For Web and reduce the image to 70% (JPG) You probably won’t even notice the difference in quality, but you’ll have nearly halved the image size.
Netflix changes its background image based on what movies and shows are being promoted. Their site is very simple. There’s a risk reversal right off the bat. You can cancel any time and not be locked into anything. You can try it free for a month. They’re not saying, “Hey, this is movies streaming online.” They’re relying on the power of their brand.
Any claim that AMP ensures a certain level of performance depends both on how forgiving you are of the extremes, and on what your definition of “performant” is. If you were to try and build your entire site using AMP, you should be aware that while it’s not likely to end up too bloated, it’s also not going to end up blowing anyone’s mind for its speed straight of the box. It’s still going to require some work.

I don’t think that Ubl’s post today is going to wash away the bad feelings that many have about AMP. There’s just too much wrapped up in it. AMP has served as a vessel for worries about Google’s power over the web, the dicey future of news publishing, and whatever general angst we all feel about the sorry state of most mobile webpages. Most of these concerns have been fair, but there hasn’t been enough momentum for a more open alternative. With this move, Google seems to be trying to create one.
Solution: My Small Biz Start Up Package combines a fully scale-able website platform with critical components like email marketing, analytics and local SEO to get small businesses started right online. I personally work with small businesses to help them develop their website content and an online leads process that they can use to start building an email list.

Solution: My online program, The Working Artist, will give them the nuts and bolts of how to build an art career and teach the secrets of selling art. I’ve spent my career in the art business and understand exactly how it works. I’ve taught artists around the world how to move from starving to thriving. It’s not easy but I truly believe that any artist can succeed, if they are willing to do the work. And that’s why I call my program The Working Artist.
However, the best part about this, and the most powerful route that entrepreneurs take to scale their businesses, is that if you know that sending 100 people to your site costs you $200, for example, but you get two people to convert at $300 each, then you have a $600 return on $200 invested (300 percent). When you know that, that's when the entire game changes and you can infinitely scale your offers.
Additional website functionality with plugins comes at a price: performance degradation. Unfortunately, webmasters deploy a myriad of plugins to add attractive but often unnecessary features such as gravatar, profile tools, website stats and font tools – some even use 10 different plugins for social media integration. The only benefit here is successfully avoiding manual coding.

While service and product quality apparently has the biggest impact on business sales, converting website visitors into purchasing customers in the cyber world largely depends on developing a positive customer impression. And this is where ecommerce website performance parameters such as ultra-fast page speed and rapid check-out processes come into play, ultimately giving customers a positive psychological impression encouraging sales and customer loyalty.
I specialize in helping you get to that first step. Sometimes we just need help working through our options. Sometimes, we just need to identify what our options are when the possibilities seem so overwhelming. You start by answering a few questions and then we have a free 30-minute to discovery session to see what’s unconsciously keeping you from moving. And if you need some help from there… you can choose from our convenient continuing support options. But it all starts with 30 minutes to make the headache go away. Are you ready?

There's a really fun example of this type of content at a chocolate factory here in Seattle called Theo. They sell chocolate (in a great many varieties), but they're perhaps better known for their factory tour, during which they teach people about where chocolate comes from, how it's grown, and how the beans from the odd-shaped cocoa pod are converted into the chocolate bars we all know. Visitors leave feeling like they've become relative experts, and from that point forward, they think of the Theo brand as one that not only knows exactly what it's doing, but is also quite generous with that information and is just as concerned with developing an appreciation for chocolate as it is with simply selling it (it doesn't hurt that they're also quite generous with samples). Those feelings go quite a long way toward creating the brand loyalty we're all striving for.

For different types of businesses, buyer needs at the problem/need recognition stage would be different. For example, if you’re running a consulting business, then at the very beginning, your clients would realize that they’re having certain problems around your service area – like a high cost per lead (if you’re in marketing), disorganized spending (if you’re in accounting), etc.

Measuring how well your sales team is converting leads is imperative to determine the quality of leads and individual sales rep’s performance. With a CRM, you can create reports to know how your leads are converting through different stages by sales reps, and by campaign too. Analyzing which leads are moving down the funnel and converting allows you to plan better conversion strategies.

Let the Network Carry the Load – If your site is extremely popular but you’re still having trouble getting your page load down to size, consider a Content Delivery Network (CDN) like Amazon Cloudfront. Content Delivery Networks work by serving pages depending on where the user is located. Faster access to a server near their geographical area means they get the site to load sooner.
In this section Kahneman returns to economics and expands his seminal work on Prospect Theory. He discusses the tendency for problems to be addressed in isolation and how, when other reference points are considered, the choice of that reference point (called a frame) has a disproportionate impact on the outcome. This section also offers advice on how some of the shortcomings of System 1 thinking can be avoided.
Address concerns. When you have a product or service that can change someone’s life, you have to listen and address any doubt or hesitation they might. Listen to your customers' concerns as they consider buying from you. What are your most frequently asked questions? Can you use the feedback to make your product (and also your pitch) even stronger?
All variations of the marketing funnel begin with awareness. It is at this stage that a lead becomes aware of your brand or your products. It is essential to develop a digital presence, fostering familiarity with your name, so the people who are most likely to buy your products are aware of your authority in the field. As an online business, your exposure strategy should consist of 4 primary tactics, including:
Solution: The Nine Steps to Feng Shui(R) System is the easiest way to learn Feng Shui online. The information is presented clearly and in a sequential, by-the-numbers manner, that is easy to understand and apply. My background as an architect assists me in delivering advice that creates healthy environments where people feel happy, comfortable and safe, and that also look great.
My business, Sweet Girls Cookie Delivery, bakes cookies fresh each day, packages them in pretty boxes and delivers them to people around Savannah, GA. I have many people tell me on the phone that they are thrilled I provide this service, especially the parents of local college students who are far from home. I just need to get more repeat business on a regular basis.
Whenever I place an order, I receive detailed summaries of my purchase (including vital tracking information so I can hit “Refresh” on the order page to see where my stuff is), as well as customer service information, links to relevant products I might be interested in, and all sorts of other resources. I’m prompted to leave reviews and feedback about my experience, encouraged to contact a real person if I have questions about my order, and can even discuss or answer questions about my purchase for other users who are considering buying whatever I just splurged on. Generally speaking, it’s just a great shopping experience – which is why I’ve been buying my hardware from Newegg for years.
That was an interesting article. I was looking on your page of scheduled webinars, and what about offering a webinar on segmenting your list? It seems that to use the marketing funnel idea you need to segment subscribers, so you’re not sending new subscribers something that should go to your “Advocates”. I’d love to see a webinar that really goes over how to use the funnel & segmenting together. Thanks.

The final stage of the sales funnel is the action that you're intending them to perform. In most cases this is the purchase. Again, how well you move them through the various stages is going to set you up with a specific conversion for this action. For example, if 100 people click on your offer and 10 people enter your sales funnel but only purchase people purchase, then you have a 2 percent conversion.

As a software engineer myself, I can tell you that building funnels from an application standpoint takes massive amounts of work. There's a great deal of coding and integration that's required here. From email systems to landing page implementations to credit card processing APIs, and everything in between, so many platforms need to "talk," that it takes the bar too high for the average marketer.

He is the co-founder of Neil Patel Digital. The Wall Street Journal calls him a top influencer on the web, Forbes says he is one of the top 10 marketers, and Entrepreneur Magazine says he created one of the 100 most brilliant companies. Neil is a New York Times bestselling author and was recognized as a top 100 entrepreneur under the age of 30 by President Obama and a top 100 entrepreneur under the age of 35 by the United Nations.
Establishing points of contact with your customer are critical to success. You probably know more than any other business in your area about your specific pool of customers. You have data on their locations, product interests, names, and the possible reasons they may be buying your products. Through email and social media, you can begin to target them more specifically with content that is relevant to only their customer-type.
As an author who does a little bit of coaching as well, I can say that a lot of people write the book and then start asking two questions: ‘Should I use CreateSpace/Kindle or should I self-publish?”. You might be surprised at how many people write a complete book without having any idea of the big picture, especially of how to market or that being an author means you are a small biz owner in 2014.

Once the prospective customer is made aware of the product, it’s the duty of a marketer to nurture the lead by arousing his interest in buying the product and make him consider it over other products. This involves marketer to tap several other channels, improve its public relation strategies, and include affiliates and partners who promote the product.
Takeaway: One way to speed up the DOM ready time of your site is to avoid the use of JavaScript (a type of code) that blocks and prevents a browser from parsing HTML code. The most common elements with JavaScript are third-party ads, and analytics and social widgets that must be fetched from an external server before they can load. (Imagine that you're at restaurant and your waiter is ready to bring your meal, but first has to wait for the salt and pepper to be delivered from another restaurant.) For more ideas on how to prevent JavaScript from affecting DOM ready time, here's a guide for developers.
