No matter what kind of purchase we’re making or how much we intend to spend, all of us follow a relatively similar path when it comes to deciding what to buy. This buying process was first introduced by John Dewey in 1910, but even now — more than 100 years later — it’s still the foundation of understanding buyer behavior and marketing funnel creation.
Prospecting and marketing are all the things you do to get people into the first of your sales funnel stages. Note that stages are broken into two or more steps wherever possible. A demo could be called a single stage, but in real life it involves a lot of things: contacting the customer, sending reminders, doing the demo, and then following up. Whatever your own sales stages look like, the support you need in managing them will be the same.

If you send them an offer every single month without fail, within a year, you’ll have a great reputation among the very wealthy.
Overall, when DOM ready times throughout a visit were slower, people bounced more. Our research found that bounced sessions had DOM ready times that were 55% slower than nonbounced sessions. We also noticed that bounce rates were even higher if the first page in the visit had a significantly slower DOM ready time than the remaining pages. This tells us that first impressions matter: If people's initial experience visiting a site is slow, they're more likely to bounce later. That initial interaction seems to color people's perception of the site and decrease their willingness to be patient throughout the transaction process.

When we talk about the AMP library, we’re talking about AMP JS and AMP HTML combined. First, though, you want to map out all the potential interactions users can have with your brand and assign them to the most relevant stage of our marketing funnel. For example, a first-time visitor on your site will fit into the “awareness” category while someone who has repeatedly visited the same product page probably fits in the “consideration” stage.
But let’s say that you want at least 100 people to purchase from your sales funnel. You can work backwards to see how many people you need at each point along the funnel. If you want 100 sales, you would need 250 people to end up on your landing page (100 divided by 0.40). In order to get 250 people on your landing, your social media ad needs to target 1,250 consumers (250 divided by 0.20).

Personally I use plastic funnels wiped clean after each use with a disposable rag from Rags in a Box, stored in a loosely tied grocery bag for each. One for fresh motor oil, one for used motor oil, ATF, PS fluid, gear oil, etc., and one with a long skinny neck for fresh ATF. The end result is accelerated component wear, reduced lubricant service life, decreased oil filter service life and erroneous oil analysis results. No matter how sophisticated your maintenance program is, all of it can be destroyed by a dirty shop funnel.
Regardless of what you sell, include high-quality images of your products – no tiny thumbnails or poorly lit shots taken in your stock room. Also be sure to include a wide range of images. It might seem overkill to include shots of your products from every conceivable angle, but try it out. People love to kick a product’s proverbial tires before buying, especially online.

This way, the browser only has to load the files one time, rather than every time someone visits each page of your site. Ideally, put your external CSS in theportion of your site, and your external Javascript file as close to the tag as possible. This way, the browser isn’t bogged down wading through all those requests for external files right from the start. The only time you won’t want to do this is if the Javascript needs to load near the top of the page – such as to display a name or load up an image carousel.
