Women who want to start their own business online but feel overwhelmed on where to focus or stuck in indecision. They don’t have clients, a marketing plan, and aren’t clear about what they offer yet they spend months watching free training, getting business cards or perfecting their website. They need a plan and to know where and what to focus their energy on.
In 1898, E. St. Elmo Lewis developed a model which mapped a theoretical customer journey from the moment a brand or product attracted consumer attention to the point of action or purchase.[1] St. Elmo Lewis’ idea is often referred to as the AIDA-model, an acronym which stands for Awareness, Interest, Desire, and Action. This staged process is summarized below:
Big Solution: Our “Relationships That Work” program fixes the root of the Corporate Flu issue…poor relationships between co-workers, between departments, as well as the age-old struggle between management and staff. This is accomplished through a combination of online courses, webinars, and in-person workshops that help create an ideal corporate culture.

The funnel stages, from broadest to most narrow, are awareness, consideration, preference, action, loyalty and advocacy. Consumers first become aware of a product or service; contemplate a purchase; come to a stage where they have a preference for a brand, model or a competitor; and then actually make the purchase. Following the purchase they become loyal to the brand or company, and then refer or advocate the benefits of their purchase to friends and family.
The “Speed Update,” as we’re calling it, will only affect pages that deliver the slowest experience to users and will only affect a small percentage of queries. It applies the same standard to all pages, regardless of the technology used to build the page. The intent of the search query is still a very strong signal, so a slow page may still rank highly if it has great, relevant content.
It works because it’s simple. The CTA is clear. The design is trustworthy. In addition, the visibility of the signup button remains across all the pages, both at the bottom and the top of the landing pages. That’s a best practice. It also works because visually, they show you exactly what you’ll be getting when you sign up. There are screenshots of the application and not a lot of text. Mint is very benefits-focused.
The penultimate stage of the sales process is working out the fine details and establishing a commitment to the deal. Once the lead is ready to make a purchase, sales reps present proposal, terms of contract, and other agreements to successfully win their business. The outcome of the opportunity may sway either way— win or loss—depending on the prospect’s interests at this stage. Although sales reps set the table for success, when it comes to closing—win rates are quite unpredictable.
Some people don’t want to take the “easy way out” of giving gifts by giving cash or buying something from a registry. They want a gift that is unique, thoughtful, meaningful, memorable, desirable – something that will be admired for its originality and thoughtfulness. Something that demonstrates the giver understands the meaning of the celebration and wants to show the recipients they have put some thought into it. So I show them how to give a high-touch gift in a high tech world – something unique and handmade, combining my artistic vision with my background in invitation design – to create keepsakes for life milestone occasions that reflect the spirit of the occasion and the people being celebrated. Every time the recipient looks at one of my keepsake collages, it connects them to the joyous memory of their milestone celebration in a completely personalized way.
Time has become a top 3 obstacle to success for sales professionals and anyone trying to grow their business results. This book helped my identify and accept that I am being held back because of my attitude and choices about my time. By the time I got to the Chapter 31 titled "Unclog Your Pipeline" I had so many notes that I had to put the book down and go back to start from the beginning and highlight the areas that were giving me the clarity that I was so clearly lacking.
Thanks Matt, yes that’s right. Regarding leads it’s both really! I certainly want to generate more of the right niche/ quality prospects. In short there are 2 distinctly areas; general enquiries which I have a good process for ( but could be improved) the biggest challenge is taking colder leads through the funnel. The sales process can sometimes be quite long, so whilst a well placed offer can work to get someone over line. It’s not very strong for those who are researching etc, hence I need advice about funnel building for regular front of mind contact plus education and industry authority. Does that make sense? Thanks Pete
Establish a reason for follow-up. Your customers are busy and multitasking every day.  It’s your job to grab their attention quickly. The best way to do this is to reference a past conversation and mirror the words your potential customer used during your sales call. For example, if you learned that they're struggling to lose 15 pounds before a high school reunion, then you would reference that in the opening of the follow-up after a friendly greeting.
Being an expert doesn’t necessarily mean that you know how to share your knowledge with others, so that they actually get it. Consequently, many information/instructional products garnished with “bells and whistles” (fancy graphics, catchy sales pitches, and technological gimmicks) actually SUCK. There is either too much or too little content; the content is confusing; the language is professional gobbledygook, the focus is on “what to do” rather than on “how to go about it” – leaving the users in a state of anger and frustration. Even if they don’t ask for their money back, they certainly won’t buy from this line ever again.

Deep learning—or artificial intelligence—are rapidly becoming a crucial force in marketing. After all, most websites sell a vast number of products; being able to recommend just the right item to a customer is a skill. In some ways, this is the most crucial piece lost when retail transactions move from the brick and mortar store to the web storefront.
I always call my toughest clients first and keep calling on them long after everyone else has given up. Once a month, I make a list of our company's most difficult customers and create an attack plan on how to get those accounts. The first month we incorporated this strategy, I landed one of the biggest deals of my career. You can't bring the big deals home without getting into the deep waters where the big fish swim.
In our fast-paced world, everyone wants instant results. We want our food prepared faster, we want to communicate with people instantly, and we often get impatient when it takes longer than five seconds for a website to load. The same can be said for those who want to increase the number of sales generated from their website. But as Beverly Sills said, “There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.”

This ad from Veeam Software has a very specific offer for a very specific audience. You can tell by the low number of views on the video that it’s targeting a small niche rather than a broad segment. Instead of just selling the fear of losing IT data, which would be more general, it is selling a free 30-day trial of an Oracle database backup suite.
There are several ways to optimize images and here’s one if you have Adobe Photoshop. For your JPGs, PNGs, and other files you may have that aren’t GIFs, open them in Adobe Photoshop and simply go to File > Save For Web and reduce the image to 70% (JPG) You probably won’t even notice the difference in quality, but you’ll have nearly halved the image size.
